The school was first opened in September 2002 by the founder, Angeline Sarabura, who wanted an appropriate educational setting for her son. The school’s first six students were joined by another two in the following spring. The second year of operation saw 10 full-time students and one part-time student. We finished our third year with 14 students, our fifth year with 17 students and our sixth with 18 students. The founder has maintained a slow rate of growth to allow the school to focus on its strive for exceptional learning for all its students. Over the past few years programming has expanded to included Discrete Trial Teaching and Intensive Behavioural Intervention for some students. We have increased our use of technology, both to assist with programming and data management and to provide accomodations and instruction for the students.
